Learning Strategy, UX/UI, Curriculum Design

How might we...

Accommodate new and existing users with a learning experience that supports guided learning paths as well as direct access to individual learning content

My Contributions

For this project, I designed the initial UI/UX prototypes and provided guidance for the technical build of the learning management system, as well as creating the learning path structure and all lessons

Learning Experience Manager, Indeed Academy

Jun 2018 - Jan 2021

Relying on user feedback and partnering with internal research teams, we discovered that many returning learners found the existing learning path structure to be a roadblock when accessing specific lessons, often requiring three or more clicks due to the system architecture. To balance the community's desire for structured learning paths with the need for direct lesson access, I designed a new version of Indeed Academy that guided learners through lessons in the same ordered fashion as before while displaying all lessons on a single page, allowing quick access to specific content. Additionally, I revised the learning experience to enable self-guided progression, requiring only the completion of assessments to graduate, shifting away from the previous requirement to complete each lesson sequentially. Partnering with business intelligence, these revisions resulted in increased NPS, higher engagement levels, and increased spending on Indeed products. User feedback sessions further confirmed that the experience was achieving our initial learning goals.
